Principle of hydraulic nut

Hydraulic nuts are used for bolts that need to be frequently disassembled and assembled; pre-tightening of oversized bolts; locking of large workpieces, etc. It can also be used as a hydraulic interference connection disassembly tool. Installing or removing bearings on tapered shafts or sleeves is usually a difficult and time-consuming project. Using hydraulic nuts can improve work efficiency and reduce such problems. The principle is that the hydraulic oil is input into the nut by a high-pressure oil pump to generate a force to push the piston, which satisfies the installation or removal of bearings-effortless, accurate and safe.
The working principle of hydraulic nut is to use ultra-high pressure oil to generate a thrust on the shaft and a tension on the sleeve, so that the shaft and sleeve are evenly connected together.
Application
1. Hydraulic nuts are widely used in the metallurgical copper and aluminum metal industry, papermaking industry, hydraulic locking on slitting machines, etc.;
2. Install and remove propellers, rudder pads, etc.;
3. Disassemble high-pressure joints, such as train wheels, couplings, flywheels and gears. Hydraulic nuts are an advanced bolt assembly method, especially suitable for tightening narrow spaces and heavy-load vibration machinery. The working principle of the hydraulic nut is to use the Hydraulic Cylinder to directly apply external force to the bolt, so that the bolt to which the force is applied is stretched in its elastic deformation zone. After the bolt is stretched, the locking ring on the hydraulic nut is tightened, so that the bolt will be locked in the stretched position by the locking ring.
The hydraulic cylinder is located at the center axis of the bolt and is used to stretch the bolt axially to achieve the required stretching amount of the bolt. And it is this stretching amount of the bolt that determines the clamping force required for bolt tightening. When the hydraulic nut is pressurized, the bolt is stretched, and the hydraulic nut and the joint surface are in close contact. Thereby locking the axial deformation of the bolt, that is, locking the remaining bolt load in the nut. Many connection surfaces are equipped with sealing gaskets. The sealing gasket only works when the connection surface is compressed, so it is particularly important that the connection surface is always clamped. The load applied to the bolt is proportional to the oil pressure in the hydraulic cylinder, and this design can retain the effective load very accurately. Since the load is directly applied to the bolt and all the forces are used to stretch the bolt, the space required for load generation can be minimized.
